Joe’s passion for dance began at an early age, immersing herself in a wide range of styles including classical ballet, jazz, flamenco, and hip-hop. Her journey into belly dance started in 2006 with American Tribal Style and Tribal Fusion, honing her skills as part of the celebrated troupes Raqs Chandra and Harissa. In 2013, she founded and directed the Deseos Dance Crew, captivating audiences with regular performances until 2018. Today, Joe shines as a solo artist, gracing stages with her dynamic performances and occasionally collaborating with some of the dance community's most exceptional talents. As a full-time instructor, she shares her love for dance by teaching in studios across and beyond the Tokyo area, inspiring students to explore their own artistic journeys.

In 2009, Joe elevated her passion for dance by founding Deseos, a dance production company dedicated to spotlighting Tokyo’s vibrant and growing dance scene. Through Deseos, she has united dancers from all walks of life, fostering community and creativity through education and performance. Joe is also the visionary founder of the Tokyo International Bellydance Competition, an annual event, and has brought world-class guest artists to Japan, including Rachel Brice, Sonia Ochoa, Samantha Emanuel, Bozenka, Mira Betz, Tamalyn Dallal, Leila of Cairo, Elizabeth Strong, Karim Nagi, Lulu Sabongi, Asharah, Ranya Renee, Anasma, Jill Parker, Suraiya of Poland, Steven Eggers, Kae Montgomery, Ruby Beh, Joana Saahirah of Cairo, Violet Scrap, Lamia Barbara, Giulio Dilemmi, and more.
